Buying a used 911 - Any advice?

Hi all.

I'm a new user here just about to purchase my first Porsche 911, and I thought I'd ask some advice to see if there is anything I should look out for.

It is a 2017 Carrera GTS with 16,000 miles on the clock.

I saw it in person and drove it and it looks and drives immaculately. It comes with a Porsche warranty.

I was wondering how this model would depreciate in the coming years?

Well that's certainly one way to advertise a car here.

Agreed. Pretty annoyingly self evidently sneaky.

For what it’s worth (nothing) my experience with a 2006 C2S Cab
MSRP $109,000
I purchased in 2010 for $50,000 with 27,000 miles
Sold it as a roller in 2019 for $11,000 at 117,000. The engine was dead due to the IMS bearing going to poop. So much for the new and improved bearing.
Any newer car will depreciate like a rock. Buy the car for fun, not an investment. When you tire of it, sell.
