I add a rust inhibiter to the slurry to prevent flash rust on steel and then spray treat with a petroleum based rust inhibitor upon completion. If planning on re-plating after this process, please advise because the petroleum may inhibit bonding process.

when I had my 3.2 motor out a few years ago my shop did this process on many of the components that were raw aluminum. it makes them look really great.
on my 964 when I had the entire suspension off we did this on all the aluminum, hubs, swing arms, etc.
very nice! and reasonable price too
