We recently had to replace the fuel overflow (return to tank) valve on the filter console....man, these are expensive, but necessary I guess. I had a standard banjo valve running to a common plastic T on this engine and it didn't want to work right with the MFI pump.

Greg recently bought a set of original Fuchs in 8+9x15 that are in very good condition. He plans to have a spare set of wheels/tires for street driving that aren't quite as sticky as the Michelin TBs. The 8s were built in 74! These wheels have been redone to a high degree, and he most likely will paint the centers gold to match the others on the car.

The car is getting some fun exercise on AZ back roads comparing 'butt dyno' effects after some adjustments on the MFI pump, throttle linkage system, etc. Greg has scheduled another dyno shop visit next week. He is installing new injectors, and spark plugs to get a new baseline for performance prior to that visit.

Great to see this car being used Gib and if it does end up becoming Mexico Blue then you know I'm a fan :)

Thanks for your comment Darren. The new injectors helped to give the engine a real boost at 6000 rpm, according to Greg. He will get a chance to use it on a track at the upcoming R Gruppe Sports Purpose day at a track near Albuquerque, NM prior to the annual R Gruppe gathering in Santa Fe in late May. He has decided to stay with Guards Red I think, maybe he will do another project down the road in Mex Blue...he loves that color too!
