Okay, I'll do so. Thanks a lot for your suggestion! :)
I was thinking the same thing.
Porsche published conversion instructions in December 1983
I'm sure the RUF conversion to the top was the same method

Yes, certainly, as it looks totally OG. The conversion was made after these instructions came to light, during Spring of '84. Although I think Ruf Automobile GmbH could have done it properly wihout the above leaflet :) , they only needed the genuine factory parts for.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to All Early S Registry Members!
I've mentioned before that I'm restoring 21 and 23 window split buses as well. They are in majority lately. Beside the Ruf I've just started a '69 tangerine T, too, that only bought for its originality and my favourite color :) ...
The pic was taken at my place yesterday of a 13w original paint nearly rust free driver lotus white Microbus that's just arrived to me from the UK, but originally from the US.Attachment 361029

The 2.7 Carrera engine tested and running flawlessly! Of course, for much longer, for about 3 hours up to now. I'm very happy about it! A huge "THANK YOU" for that to my friend Zoltan at Mashmotor Hungary! (Local Porsche Classic Centre had no means/equipment to test run the engine rebuilt by them :) ...but, fortunately, they did a proper job.)
Fantastic thread sambapati. Just read through the 11 pages. How is the restoration going. Did you keep it narrow bodied or go for the RS flares ?
Time for an üpdate? . . .
