Scheel lightweight GT sliders
While buiding my ST hotrod I wanted to use scheel GT sliders on my scheel 300 bucket seats.
The plan was to have Gerrit Blankman (scheel expert) modify my standard scheel sliders, but he had some difficulties with his welder and stopped making them.
He was willing to sell me the required kevers and springs and give me a brief 'how to' and I went to make a few sets, of wich I sold 2 sets a while ago.
I had parts for the GT handle, but had to source a couple more sliders to use the left over parts.
The original standard scheel sliders are taken apart, shortened, welded, blasted, zinc plated and put together again. I had to make my own groved pins like the originals to be able to lock the pin in the slider while putting them together. They are blasted with rough media to get a matte finish, so they look a little older and I have sprayed them with WD40 in the areas where the zinc does not go well to protect them for corrosion. (You might want to repeat that before installation)
These can also be adapted to fit early recaro bucket seats like seen on the Olive Tart ST (https://www.excellence-mag.com/issue...4#.WPs-VIFNeEc)
I have 2 slider sets available with the original early 4 hole leg, to put on 2 seats.
Pictures of this set below. (so that is 4 sliders for 2 seats)
