Amazing autodrome with incredible history. My favorite bit of trivia: after the 1971 FIA Championship of Makes season JWA ran a Gulf 917K in the non-championship 1000 kilometres de Paris driven by Bell and Van Lennep (Rodriguez and Siffert were gone) -- 1971 Daytona-winning chassis 917-034/013 finished first, ahead of Larrousse and Kinnunen in the AAW spyder, which was built on 1970 Daytona-winning chassis 917-015/01-021. Must have been hairy on that short, steep, bumpy, vintage-1924 banking!
