At the end we arrived!.

In those months NOSGRUPPE prepared some new "IDENTICAL to the ORIGINAL" PARTS that we are now glad to show you.

The first item is the well known "IVORY HEADLINER" with the famous hexagon or diamond pattern, for LWB and Bumper cars, ready to mount on your car.

Before two questions which might also be interesting for the others:
- on the picture it looks like it is just the fabric, but above you write it is ready to mount. Can you confirm that it is correctly cut and sewed, ready to be mounted into the roof?
- could you post a picture of the complete part as sold?

1) yes. Professionaly sewed ( by a wonderful girl that work for a top fashion italian brand... ) . It's perfect and ready to mount.

2) do you want to see the package or the complete headliner on the floor? Why? If i say that is ready to mount.... Perhaps you prefer to see a photo with a sewed part?

Hi Andrea, the material looks great. My only concerns would be whether the pattern is oriented correctly in the sewn panels. A photo of it laid out would help me personally and I'm sure others on the fence would be persuaded.:)

I still have my original sunroof head liner in my 71 but it's in need of replacement. How close to the original Ruhr zipper did you get? The zippers were made by Ruhr back then. They are no longer in business as far I could find out searching. Could I trouble you for some close up shots of the zipper, just curious to see how close to the original one, as I won't be able to use mine as it is one of the reasons I have to replace it.

Does NOSGRUPPE produce headliners for SWB? I noticed the question was asked but did not see a response. Any other manufacturers? It would be for a 1967 911S without a sunroof.

post 16 is about a swb car.... what you are referring to?

SWB interiors are much easier to live with. Headliners are easy to come by. The dash is easy to repair/re-cover. The door panels are as well. No map pockets to replace.:eek:
Simpler car, simpler times. "Pure". Then came the weight gaining program. Sort of anti-Weight Watchers!:D

Then and NOW. If I wanted a Cadillac I would have bought one.

Hi everyone,

I am wondering whether there any experience reports on Andrea's headliner repro.

I bought one last year and showed it to two Porsche experience upholsterers. Both said that the material is about twice as thick as the original and that this might cause problems either when fitting window rubbers or due to gravity when the roof gets very hot in summer. It might tend to hang down more than the original.
Any real life experience with that here?

@Andrea: wouldn't it be a good idea to use base material with the original thickness?

The thickiness difference is measured by microns. It's not double!
In Italy i personally mounted more than 30 headliners with NO problems at all.
And italian summer is hot...

And i have sold many headliners around the world without any negative feedback. Only your upholsterer was unhappy to mount it, as i wrote to you via email weeks ago.

About material thickness, this is the only thickness i found from more than 3 suppliers. And they are all very large leatherette producers...

Actually, we gave up. It is really beautiful, but far too thick. I can be done, but it means the seals don't seat well. Can it be made with the correct factory thickness (less than half of what you make).

Sorry for delayed reply , not on here much.

I installed Andreas nonsunroof headliner that I purchased from a member on this forum- The material is thicker and harder to work with but no issues with seals as others have discussed. I did use Factory rubber, not sure if that makes a diffrence.

My .02 the color is off from factory color, I do not think the seams are as tight as factory but overall pleased with product, fit and finish.

Looking for a headliner of Andreas with sunroof if anyone has one they will not use.

I know that the material i use is some micron thicker than the original, but after 200+ items sold i think that everybody are happy with the strenght and the good looking after years.

He hasn't posted anything since August of 2019 which doesn't bode well for getting return correspondence.

Anyone know if NOSGRUPPE headliners are still available anywhere? I've not seen any other repro company make the correct Porsche headliners, they are always the common (and wrong) perforation pattern.

Try Southbound in the UK. They have te correct perforation pattern and the fabric thickness is not too thick. Only issue I found was the colour was a bit different to the original I had but it is ok.
