Brought the car back from a stay at Zuffenhaus, in Monroe, NC. The capapble hands of Aaron Winans tuned the MFI, and its running like never before!!!
Thought about driving the 72, but took out the 356 instead. I did get 40 miles in on the Pegoretti tho between 7 and 9.

Funny you should ask... Today I attempted to push start an MFI car with a dead starter, all by myself, with the road seemingly going uphill both ways ;-)
That *sucked*. And it did not work, never got fast enough get it going, a little slope would have helped. Thankfully, this saved me money on my medical insurance as it served as a really good stress test, and my heart is fine, thank you. At some point my neighbor returned and we used his jeep to push start my car, bumper to bumperettes (with a layer of tape in between). That worked much better ! I was then so annoyed (and late) that I proceeded to drive the p%$$ out of the car on the way to the shop, and actually had a great time doing so... Paid $63 to have them install my new hi-torque starter, and really, for that kind of money I don't see why I would have bothered doing it myself ;-) I love old cars...
Fixed my rear driver's side tail light (repro lenses are better than not, but they need a lot of tweaking). Replaced the fan strap bolts, installed a new condenser wire, and took her and the 1500s out for a spin!
Please excuse the crappy phone pic:
