Would the Marc Bongers book have any of this information?
Thanks Carl,
I checked but there are no chassisnumbers, unfortunately.
Anyway thanks for the tip and the effort,
Don't know if this would help, but the Ruf US shop is located here in Dallas. Contact them at www.rufautocentre.com. Hans is one of the co-owners, a great guy, and a good friend of mine.
Have you tried contacting Ruf (Pfaffenhausen) directly?
When I was interested in a CTR, I mailed Marc Bongers at RUF-Pfaffenhausen, very kind and helpful. Marc.Bongers@ruf-automobile.de

Xenifizi, a favor? If you get this info, would you share it with the rest of us? I doubt l am the only CTR fan here.
I imagine you already know this, but, in case you don't... The Ruf vin CTRs are the first 28 serial numbers [some people think first 29 but apparently Herr Ruf considers his #1 CTR as the prototype, with the other 28 cars being production cars.] The rest of the series were built from existing cars as the supply of bodies-in-white dried up. If my info is correct, another 28 cars were built on Porsche vin chassis.

The last ever CTR was sold by RUF around 2000.
It was advertised as being number 29 but I don't know if that includes the Yellowbird (the nickname for the prototype). This is not the same car as number 28 which is owned by a Brit and can be seen in a few vids on the net.
The last car was unique as it was RHD. The only one.
Advertised as having 600Km on the clock for £85,000 (still have the ad from a Brit porsche mag classified section).
Would love to own that car, both then and now.
