What is the going rate for a unrestored alloy, early 911/901 wood wheel in usable condition these days?
Hard to find sale prices due to its scarsity.

I sold mine at the LA Lit meet, in March for $3500.00. It was unrestored and in "usable" condition.

PS: You may have seen it in one of my display cases when you visited years ago.
Jim thanks for the heads up!! I'm still grinning everytine I think about that visit, my wife sitting in the car, waiting feeling sick after a little (or lots of) wine country-experience :D

I paid for $4500 last year for an excellent, unrestored wheel from a 50k-mile car. Don't really have a car for it but someone was right behind me to buy it if I didn't and figured I'd probably never see another as nice.
Are the nice wood/ alloy repros still available?
Sierre Madre has repos, but not alloy. http://www.sierramadrecollection.com...mm-p19406.html
and the alloy one from Sierra Madre :) http://www.sierramadrecollection.com...65-p25332.html
I have an original and one of these repros - havent got them side by side yet. Probably have to redo the wood on my original.
I have 2 of the repos left.
sold an alloy one for 3500 last year. it was in good shape, not concours. I would say that is still the going rate but depends on condition. 4500 for an excellent original seems to be in line.
