That VIN in the Bonhams ad is not correct for a 1969 911S...they apparently added a superfluous 9 at the beginning.

Alan,
Thank you! I knew the car looked familiar, but a search with the 'superfluous 9' came up blank.

This 1971 Porsche 911s 2.2 shown here is finished in Silver Metallic with Black Leatherette interior. We started with a very solid car that still retains its factory floors, original paint dash and gauges (yes they are that good). Finding a factory A/C car is tough and finding a real solid one is almost impossible. Unique to the 1971 model 911s is the use of Sport seats and an aluminum rear deck lid as standard equipment which as you can see are still retained in this car. After body and paint were completed by award winning Altissimo restoration in American Canyon, CA the car was then transported to Kendall Porsche of Bend Oregon and their state of the art facility for completion. Being focused on restoring it to the highest level, Jeff Gamroth of Rothsport Racing rebuilt the engine and transmission and then dyno'd upon completion. Interior was done by Autobahn International. The car resides in Scottsdale AZ so upgraded the A/C to Kuehl air components while still using the factory in dash controller. Once completed the car had Expel film applied to the complete front and partial rear areas. Please feel free to ask questions and inspect the car in person. We are open to trades.
Although it appears to have already been sold, I figured I would add this as it didn't show in the forum anywhere. 1968S VIN 11850087
Not mine, no affiliation. Not sure of the price, but shows as Sold on website.

Brief History of Chassis Number: 11850087
The original Italian car registration book shows this European-delivery example was supplied new as a Left Hand Drive model on the 22.June.1968 to its first owner who lived on the Mediterranean island of Sicily.
Coincidentally the name Targa was selected as a tribute to the Targa Florio, an Italian race which took place on the tight, winding roads of Sicily!
Unfortunately very little information was recorded on the Certificate of Authenticity, in fact only the chassis and engine number were documented.
