Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me the differences between a 1969 and a 1971 "S" shell?
Thanks

They have many subtle differences. Like size of the raised area for VIN stamp. Front shock top location. Hole for flasher on dash. Size of holes in dash for gauges, although I did have a '69 S with push in gauges once. Parcel shelf. Others will weigh in.
There's a four gang electrical connector panel at back of a 69 engine compartment, a 1 year only feature
Different location of the glove box lock.
some 71s, around jan 1971, have a tab welded in place, that screws the rear plastic cover in the left engine area.
My 71 has the tab, built process done early Dec 1970, imported to Switzerland Jan 11th 1971.
We currently have a 69 T and a 71 T and a 71 S in the Shop. Will take a close look at these details. thanks
hinge post for 69 has a single connecting plate for the door stop or door check where as 70 & up have two. There are 3 different door checks out there just have to use the correct door check to work. some 69 doors don't have previsions for power windows either
The PET catalog does a descent job of identifying the body panel differences between a Coupe and Targa.
