How come? I believe the 'peanut' shape headrest to be 73
The seats were leather and black corduroy before.

I don't think I've ever seen peanut headrests in original leather. Yes they are 73 but I always thought full leather recaro sports seats all came with leather D shaped headrests. Mine does, and it's a June 73 build.
When you throw leather/courduroy into the mix rather than full leather I'm not sure. Someone else with that original combo will chime in.
It's not a great issue. The seats look great and it won't affect the thrill of the drive. Enjoy.

It is certainly a beautiful car, but from the few photos you have posted, there are obvious deviations from "absolute originality".
For a 1973 US-spec car, the headlights and rear bumper guards would not be original or correct. The car's exterior has a mix of US and ROW components.

Are you asking for nit picks? I have some in addition to the above. Air cleaner sticker, paper hoses, if not euro (does not look like it), needs fr bumper over riders. Latch panel stickers, maybe more. That said , nice car.
You are right Jon,
It was presumptuous and somewhat pretentious of me :)
As I am carried away by the excitement of finally receiving my car.... and
As it is true that I have always preferred the European spec headlights and bumpers, for their 'simpler' lines, I requested CPR to undertake these changes!
I love the changes you made, car looks so much better without those huge rubber buffers and with euro lights. You would not have had the rubber buffers anyway as your car was built before the changes which occurred in January or February.
When you receive your COA chances are it will not list a Becker Europa as the installed radio, but for sure that is not the correct radio faceplate for an early 911. Looks like what they installed in the early Mercedes Benz.
