356 Question "60"

I realize this isn't a forum for 356's but I'm at an end here and hoping someone here has a little knowledge about this car and can enlighten the rest of us? I have a 1962 Porsche 356 that has the number 60 on the back just as the Super 90 would. It looks original but I have no idea. Maybe it's a series 60 and someone got creative with their badging? The numbers are fused together so it's not a screw up. I've owned the car for a couple months now and can't find anything about it and have stumped the guys I know. Maybe one of the well educated 911reg members can help? :) Thanks in advance! I appreciate it. Jay

Info about the car Vin 120309, 1962 356B, Engine 608475, DOP 5/10/62

Negative! If you flip it over it will say '09' not '90'. Besides, if it were a Super 90 it would say Super 90.
What you have is the 60 horsepower Normal engine.

Jay, the twin-grill (T6) B cars had four different engine designation emblems:

"60" for the 60 horsepower (DIN) model
"S" for the 75 horsepower (DIN) Super model
"90" for the 90 horsepower (DIN) Super 90 model
"Carrera 2" for the 130 horsepower (DIN) 4-cam model

The "60" emblem would be correct for your '62 B with engine number 608475.

The "Super 90" badge was used in 1960 and 1961, only
