Diggin through the catacombs yesterday and found a couple of NOS CN36 185/70's suitable for a 911E or 914-6. Would make a super cool period correct spare.
I know 15" are available but how about 14"?

I just tossed 4 of them - figured 25+ years was long enough although tread was still good.
185HR14 is not 185/70R14, it would be 185/80R14.
No, you were right about that part of the description! 185HR14 is absolutely correct for 912, 911E and 914-6.
Hi
Interestingly we are having the 185/70VR14 CN36 made again by Pirelli https://www.borrani.com/pirelli-tyre...cinturato.html brilliant for MGB and Alfa Romeo, but too small in diameter for a Porsche.
The good news is that we do have N4 Porsche Homologated tyres https://www.borrani.com/pirelli-tyre...o-cn36-n4.html for 911 on 15" wheels. and we also have the reintroduced 215/60WR15 CN36 N4 for the rear of later '70s cars https://www.borrani.com/pirelli-tyre...i-cn36-n4.html
However what is interesting is we have already been considering making a Pirelli 185R14 (full 80% profile tyre) and the discussion has been - which tread pattern? Does anyone know exactly which tyre Porsche fitted on their 14" wheels? any pictures or period data would be greatfully appreciated. We are thinking CN36 because it is such a Porsche associated tyre.
Hi,
is this idea, making a 185r14 pirelli, still alive?
or even better a michelin 185r14 xvs-p (which was original on 14 inch porsches 911).
I know of the mxv-p, but it is a bit too modern a thread pattern i think.
