cbpiii the heads on my 2.6 are 1975 911S converted to twin plug heads. main reason for using the 66 crank, so compression is manageable If I uses the 70.4 crank on street heads, the compression would be way too high with RSR p/c 92mm.

Late to the party.:o The placement of the oil tank and filler are still my favorite feature.

After installing a oil tank in a 73 the other day I was also reminded why the placement of the 72 oil tank is better. Trying to compress the large rubber gasket on the 73 oil tank and attach the nuts on the inside of the engine bay is impossible by yourself unless maybe you're using a old gasket. The oil line routing pass the right rear tire is better on the 72 also.
I totally agree on the 72 911s. Most of my projects over the years have been using 72s.
