BaT Description:
This 1968 Porsche 911T coupe was originally delivered in Europe and is believed to have come to California early in its life. Power is provided by the numbers-matching 2.0L flat-six, which is paired with the original 5-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in Polo Red over black and is equipped with a set of 15×6″ Fuchs wheels, as well as front fog lights and CDI ignition. The interior has been partially reupholstered, and recent services included a valve adjustment, new exhaust gasket, oil change, and carburetor cleaning and tuning. Compression test results from May 2019 show between 120-125 psi as pictured below. This SWB 911T is now offered on behalf of the current owner with California black plates, a spare tire, jack, an inspection report, a copy of the Kardex, and a clean California title.
The car was delivered new in Polo Red (6802) as shown on the included Kardex report. The seller had an inspection performed by Bill Kelley of Techweenie, who believes the paint to be entirely original and further notes that the car retains original seals and weatherstripping. The full report can be seen in the gallery and goes into detail about the condition of the exterior, including the depth of the paint and its condition. Six-digit California black license plates are mounted front and rear. The seller describes a variety of shallow dings, scratches, and other defects, as well as fading in the finish from age. A thin spot is pictured on the roof where the primer has been exposed, and rub marks are present elsewhere on the car. Rust is present under the rocker trim as shown in the gallery, and an additional bubble is noted on the passenger-side front fender. Close-up photos are provided in the gallery of the trim, lenses, and bumperettes. The horn grilles have been repainted in black and show some flaking in the finish. 15×6″ Fuchs have been added and wear 185/65 Goodyear Assurance tires.
The cabin is upholstered in black, and the seller notes the front seats have been reupholstered and the door panels and headliner have been replaced. An 8-track radio is installed in the factory location. The Kardex indicates that the car would have originally been fitted with a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The dash fascia features a brushed aluminum trim panel, and instrumentation includes a centrally-mounted 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and temperature and fuel level gauges. 95k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The carbureted 2.0-liter flat-six was rated at 110 horsepower from the factory and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that the carburetors retain factory crimped fuel lines, and also that the factory sound pad and drain-tube insulators remain fitted. The car has been converted to later-style CDI ignition, and the coil is not mounted in the stock location. The seller performed a compression test, and photos in the gallery show results of between 120-125 psi across all six cylinders. A valve adjustment and mechanical PPI were performed in preparation for sale, with an invoice for the latter attached in the gallery. Service records are available from the last several years, and recent work included a new exhaust gasket, oil change, and carburetor cleaning and tuning. Stamping 2081530 matches the number shown on the Kardex, confirming the engine as original. The corresponding original transmission number (2281531) is shown in the gallery along with the body tag.
The seller notes occasional drips from the rear main seal after long drives, as well as peeling undercoating around the throttle mount and a few other areas. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery, showing the floors, suspension components, and more. The trunk is pictured with its liner removed in the gallery, along with close-up photos of the spare tire well, battery box, and front pan. Documentation includes a copy of the Kardex, the inspection report from Bill Kelley, and the invoice for a mechanical PPI performed in preparation for the auction.

FS: @Cardiff Classics - '73T Silver Metallic MFI Coupe
As I was strolling around last week's Encinitas Cruise Night, I came across this 911T at a used car lot.
In November 2016 this car was for sale at European Collectibles.
It appears to be a nice car but getting into 911S price territory.
And as of this posting, it is not listed on their website.
