1973 T - Where does this wire go and am I missing studs?

I forgot to take a pic of where this wire is attached (see pic). It branches off the wire that clips onto the distributor. I am thinking it must be a ground to one of the chain cover studs?, but does anyone know for sure. I assume it it would be easy to tell from a wiring diagram, bu they all seem so low res that I can't tell. Also with the Carerra tensioner kit covers, on the top left there are two open holes (see pic)that look like stud holes, probably for if you have smog pump, but are they required to hold the cover tight with no smog pump? Seems like too long a span without studs/nuts in those two holes so I assumed so, but feels like holes are blocked. I had ordered the M8 50mm studs, but it feels like the is no actual hole beyond the cover? Any ideas? thanks

You should be using 6 mm studs , that is the hole size in the housing , and the wire goes on the cover stud closest to the distributor .

I realized that those two studs were still there, just to short. Double nutting was not cutting it even with very patient use of every trick, I was terrified of busting a stud or stripping the hole, so decided the best way was to mill down the cover to OEM depth since I don't need that to be beefed up for smog pump.Attachment 513510
