The Racecar Engineering link has the Porsche press release. The Excellence links have some interviews about where, when, and how it will be raced.

Apparently there were a lot of pissed off people when Porsche pulled the car out of Detroit before the public got a chance to see it. If the rumor is true that it was sent to Qatar, I don't think Porsche appreciates where the golden goose lives. Kind of a slap in the face to people who made a long trip to see the car.
