Attachment 494677The floor is finally installed.
A look into the “smuggler’s box.” The opening for the steering coupler was mildly altered to match the original floor Attachment 494694 Porsche ran beads of weld on some areas of the pinch weld flanges.
You can also see one of the two brackets welded to the floor and pinch weld. Are they for A/C lines

Attachment 494701Attachment 494702SO I know there have been discussions on the front tank supports on SWB cars
Which one is correct for a 3/15/1966 Karmann build car. NY friends 1967 had this type of pan 204-e
Does any know if this was a late 1967 -1968 thing or was it sooner

Doug... The P204E is what my December 3 1967 Porsche built car looks like..... However the tray perimeter piece that is shown is not quite correct. the hold down piece of it is a little too wide and the corners should have more of a gap … see Dansk piece and you will see the gap in the corners of battery surround/flange goodie..... in other words you can easily modify the part shown...Attachment 494703
Note.... the hold down yet to be narrowed... only a few mm narrower...Attachment 494704

Hi Doug,
Just to give you some further information on the use of the P204E like support.
The 8 September 1966 delivered 67s, we are working on, had it like that (large pressing) with some remainders of the battery tray.
Since we found the pressings in the RD support not "sharp" enough, we decided to make the pressings ourselves.
We bought a P204A like part but NO tray, since the tray was wrong, because of the reasons stated by Bob above.
We made the tray ourselves.
What was left of the original support:

I think my biggest concern is did à 3/15/1966 build date have this tray or the short indentation.??
Does anybody have this long one like the 204e before A 1967 Model year ?
