I have both VINS. (I will need to remove the dash pads from the black car to see number by ashtray.)
Beige car VIN:119121684

interesting, my 1969T has number 1294255 on the dash and the number 1294224 on the rear of the tunnel.
If you are really interested in researching Karmann numbers, it will be necessary to include those from the 912 as well. May I suggest:

when they write the number on the dash, is it the same number as located below the radio?
While the grease pencil # should always match the stamped # on the lower dash frame, the Karmann # (either in the speaker recess or on the rear of the tunnel) will seldom match until 1970 model year when they should always match.
I do have a few examples where the grease pencil # does not match the stamped #, including one case where the stamped # indicates a Targa whereas the car is a coupe.
It appears that the Karmann # may not have been stamped on very early cars, then in the dash speaker recess until about 912 #3000.
I had the opportunity to look at a Karmann bodied 1969 911T last night. The interesting thing is the knee frame production # is mis-stamped with 119 instead of 129. The Karmann # is on the right side of the tunnel again. The last 3 digits of the Karmann # were seen on a door. The car also has the VIN tag on the A pillar; not sure how common that is in 1969, but this is March or April production. No crayon production # was seen on the cowl, but a yellow circle in the middle indicates the crayon was being used. Several differences were noted between this 1969 door and a later 1971 door.
I have this 69 911 T Karman body 911. In Factory Golden Green
