Curt...
That's about the coolest thing I've ever seen  (and I'm not even an RC guy)
Thanks bud
Me neither. I told my business partner (who does some R/C plane stuff) about it today and he was amazed. He said it would take an extremely skilled R/C pilot to control the thing.
Amazing - what a blast! I'm not an RC gal, but WOW :D ! It sure would take some skill to pilot it though...from a 'Mum point of view' I'd love it - the kids could have just one boat-hydrofoil-plane-car thingy instead of all the other stuff cluttering up the cupboards  ...that is of course if Mum would ever give it up for them to have a go :p !Quote:

I was trying to figure out how this thing works. There is one close-up photo when he drives it along the road. There is a propellor sticking out of the front. Then, the horizontal wing is split in half and each side articulates. Not sure if there are any other moving parts. I'm thinking it is molded out of foam - thus the name - so it is very light.
The real question being, why can't we build a full-scale piloted version? :D
Tom - the cool part would be showing this thing off to the neighbors. Ya know, just crusing along in 'boat mode' for a while. And then suddenly, when they least expect it, doing a vertical take-off!
You, first. :D
Tom
Agree, surprizing to see it lift off the water the first time.Quote:
