. . . more-or-less . . .
'. . . This extremely desirable project 1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A shown here is available in mostly bare metal. It's possible there was an attempted speedster conversion. It comes equipped with a Volkswagen engine and includes some miscellaneous parts and the hardtop. A very sought after by enthusiasts and collectors example and a great candidate for full restoration . . .'

Yabba dabba doo! Reminds me of the time I borrowed a trailer to pick up a pre A spare body shell in excellent condition for $500 and came home with a crashed 914 because I needed the drivetrain. Nobody wanted Pre As back then because they read about how dangerous they were, along with swb 911s. I used to beat VW GTIs autocrossing my 52 on skinny tires mostly sideways steering with the throttle.
Anyone else get the feeling that if someone slammed a door too hard in the building, that 356 would jsut collapse to the ground in a heap of parts ?
At least that's a pretty honest car for BHCC, usually they'd be in that condition but under tons of bondo and decent paint...
These clamps seem to have really jumped in value?
For some reason I knew that the '55 Pre-A was being offered by BHCC even before I got to the second picture or the text. I would guess that that car has been close to salt water.
I definitely think BHCC needs to put the crack pipe down...
