You ever type something then later read it and realize it's way more than you intended? Case in point. Not trying to piss anyone off (this time).

I applaud your effort, not bad at all and way better then it was before. And you keep the original Bosch lens, thumbs up. The backing on the chrome bordered lenses was grey btw.
Kind regards,
Cees
Well,
Thanks for all the support!! My flight back to Switzerland was cancelled, so I tidied them up. I'm aware that the originals had grey backing, but the chrome paint requires black backing. I could add some grey on top if I really wanted to, but nobody will see it, so that might be a job for another day.

There are a few spots where my masking wasn't fantastic, but I think its a big improvement, despite the previous comments.
LiveFromNY... If that was your attempt at an apology, then apology accepted.
PMNorris, I think those came out great. Sure, on a concours car they wouldn't be correct. But on an excellent driver, once they're on the car, I can't imagine them not blending in just fine. The level of perfection that looks acceptable when you're holding a part directly in front of you often just isn't relevant once the part is on the car and you're no longer examining it inches from your face. These lenses being a perfect case in point.
Anyone have a donor lens that is missing most of its silver? I have an idea I want to try for the chrome if it works I will share it with everyone here. Lens can be all cracked just need a good trim edge for this trial. Don't mean to high jack the thread but trying to help PMnorris and raise his expectations.
