What kind of "Thing" is that?
I don't have any good pictures of my 911; it's still on its way to its new home.
I did find this picture of me sitting in my father’s autocross car.

In the background is(was) his play car, his daily driver was a Type 2 bus, and my mother drove a Bug....I sometimes wonder why I have an obsession with rear engine German autos.
Ouch, in T34 circles that would be the 'c' word. There is an unresolved debate on who copied whom...Quote:
That looks a lot like a Corvair. I see now that it isn't, though. Any more details on the Type 34? I don't think I've seen one before.
T34's are fairly rare out there. Handbuilt by Karmann on the VW type 3 (notchback/squareback) chassis, they were the most expensive car in VW's lineup starting 1962 model year, and were never imported officially into the US. 'S' was a dual solex, higher compression 1500cc. Dropped from the lineup after '69, as the 914 made its debut. For the curious, more info available here: http://www.type34.org/staticpages/in...30409142446417

Incidently, the Corrado is another VW / Karmann product, so we have that in common. Anyway, I came here to look at Porsches, so I'm handing things back to the Esses. Thanks for the info Ian, very nice car.Quote:

Kurt, I see a desert fox paint job and maybe an M60 mounted in the back, you know, for expediting traffic. :DQuote:
