This is a great idea, but this thread will get really long and hard to follow. Someone needs to set up a website search-able by engine, vin number etc. I have a few engines and engine cases too, 68 911, 73S, 71E, 67 911, 65 911 etc and I know where there a several more to catalog but it needs to be some kind of search-able data base I'm thinking.....an engine registry and a car without engine registry and maybe another one for sales invoices, owners manuals and maintenance manuals and records and other paper work that has a vin number associated with it. Also putting Ebay items or Craigslist listings leads to dead end links in a short time. I think someone mentioned the BMW motorcycle club does this, how do they do it?
This IS a good idea.....
Will put it under consideration with the other upcoming additions......
Thanks
