Why is the washer bottle and pump moved away from the front end area? Was that location stock for a 71S or just easier for the flow of washer liquid?
Why is the washer bottle and pump moved away from the front end area? Was that location stock for a 71S or just easier for the flow of washer liquid?
They placed a air con fan and condenser in that area. Basically because it has factory air. Thanks for following my thread !!

Why the later style AC condenser bar ? A '71 did not come with this ! The '73.5 911 picture shows the first version . I like the progress pictures and the car .
I went through this when I ordered panels from Restoration Design for the front pan replacement on my '72 w/factory A/C. The front condenser sits right where the center tow hook normally went. RD makes 3 different front pans. They list one w/center tow hook for '65-73 (#PP200), an identical stamping w/o tow hook listed for '74-89 w/o A/C (#PP200A), and a third panel (again, same basic stamping) with no tow hook and a hole for the condenser listed to fit '74-89 with A/C (#PP200C). When I mentioned mine was factory A/C in a '72, they said they thought the one with the condenser hole pre-stamped would be fine, but since they couldn't verify if the condenser hole in the early cars was exactly the same as the later cars, they recommended using the '74-89 no A/C part and cutting the hole to match during install.
Hey Guys !! Sorry for the several months delay in updates. Life gets in the way sometimes. Well, Mr Laws has been recently working on the 911, spending time on details. Here is the car with Mr Weidmans wheels. Michelin XWX tires. Attachment 507384Attachment 507386

Looking forward to seeing this car one day and the smile on your face George knowing it's finally done!
George
This is one fine Restoration, cudos .
All aspects are exceptional, but you know I must make a few recommendations
Only because this car deserves a little more .
- the engine electrical panel with CDI (needs restored/ recurved and tags ) relays , wires fasteners etc need attention.
- the 911S and Porsche letters need original NOS ..the originals were shiny and the new from Porsche are dull.
We appreciate all your efforts and commitment to as new it’s truly a fabulous car.
Love it ! Can’t wait to see it a Parade soon.
Regards
Frank & Pam

I think George could use some photos and a list of the specifics to help.
Frank:
Can you elaborate on your observation
I sent George a PM and will followup with a few photos .
This one is from my 73.5 ,just cleaned wires and polished the aluminum relays.
Partsklassic rebuilt and restored the CDI
Attachment 507559
Holy Moly !! Now that is perfection, Frank !! You have the bar set in the stratosphere!!
Here is photo of excellent condition original letters
I had ordered New Porsche letters and script and they are noticeably much duller.
Hard to photo but think you get the idea.
Best way to get them is a WTB post and hope you get a sympathetic member .

Your restorer can do this in a couple of hours
Easy stuff....elbow plus some grease
For max power out of your S engine just suggesting Petronix ignition ( not sure how judges view this)
But also more important is to have the Distributor re-curved .
There is a post in Technical about re-curve Vendors
Keep us updated and more great progress shots
Love your car !
Thanks, Frank, for your expert advice. You come natural for your eye on detail !! Will send CDI for rebuild. Jerry Woods did the distributor. Best to Miss Pam. George
George
Great to hear your Distributor was done by Jerry Woods.
Pam says hi and also looks forward to seeing your car live.
When will be your first Road test?
Regards
Frank
I second the Petronix upgrade, you'll never have to deal with points again
Hey Guys !! On installing the oval mirror, we are missing the 6 mm carriage style bolt (?). Any suggestions on where we can find one ?? Thanks !!
George
Will check in the morning with ideas

Hi George,
Car is looking very nice. I'm pretty sure your '71 should have the larger rear fuse panel cover ('71 only with vertical mounts) and not the small cover that only covers the three fuses (which was used in '70)
BTW, after looking at this thread for years I just figured out the meaning behind your username:D Are you familiar with the history behind this shirt?
. . . some shots of 9111300599, aka Patrick . . .
. . . hth
..............
Hello George , car certainly looks nice and should definitely have the relay board cover as there are places for the knobs to secure it . I'm questioning the stickers on the coil and bracket , I know '71's did not have a sticker on the bracket and generally not the coil, follow the picture of Patrick . You're brave posting so many pictures of the restoration , inviting comments and criticism .
Thanks for everyone’s help and expert suggestions !! This is what makes this forum ROCK !! I think this is the cover that you’all are referring. The car still had it. Attachment 507751
Wow that engine looks beautiful, and your red engine shroud looks brand new
I'm really likin' that super-sexy sound pad . . .
. . . zat OG, George?
...
Very astute eye !! The sound pad is one I bought from 911_2.2T in the Netherlands on this FAB list !!
Hi George. Car is looking great. One nitpick....the engine mounts should be flat black and the large washer more of a matt black (slightly more shiny). Also it looks like the washer is on upside down. Should be concave side up.
Good Reference

Super feedback !! Just what we need !! Such a long term project lends itself not to see the trees ... !! Also, looks like the band that holds the fan on is backwards and upside down. Keep the comments coming.
Hi Guys !! We are in the process of placing the large Durant mirror on the car but the rubber from Stoddard is too small (not long enough). Contacted IM but they do not have either. Any suggestions ??
Here is a comparison: Attachment 508170
Yes, that's for a later mirror. I got your PM with your address. I'm sending the correct gasket to you today. Just need to run out to my shop and grab it. Shipping from Texas so you'll have it shortly.
JP
Wow , isn’t LFNY the best !
George deserves this act of kindness.
All have a Great Thanksgiving
Yes, you are so right Frank. I am so fortunate that this forum has such wonderful members. This is truly the essence of this forum. Happy Thanksgiving to all !!
Mr Laws has been working up front. The Sonnenschein batteries are on back order until March so bought these from Stoddard.Attachment 508660Attachment 508662

Just came across this picture of Al Holberts Racing shop on the internet, behind his fathers dealership. This is were the second owner took the 911 in 1972 to get a 5 point restraint, roll bar, and quartz driving lights installed. Does anyone remember this shop ?? Attachment 509938
You can follow his son with great photos of his dad in period at Holberts_garage on Instagram. (Assuming it’s the same Holbert)

Thanks Mr Mayo !! We will tackle adding the air conditioner later with a new updated unit. Here, Mr Laws is sorting out the brake pedal light switch and emergency brake issues. In adjusting the emergency brake, the original plastic piece broke. So, two $6 new ones are on order !! Mr Laws dug out the original pedal cluster to remind us of how far we have come with this project !! Kudos to everyone who has contributed !! Attachment 510787Attachment 510788Attachment 510789

Yes, that is very nice!
Happy New Year.
Has it really been 10 years?!?
I’ve followed this thread that long!
Yes, 10 years !! WoW !! Slow but steady. Here is another quandary. Mr Laws saved the decals and this timing decal was on it. I cannot find a reproduction (Stoddard or Aase). Aase has one dated 1972. Is it correct ?? Any leads .... ?? Attachment 510797
George
Details are looking Great !
For decals check with ...

Wow 10 years but worth the time commitment
Frank
Thanks Frank !! I am just now having Åke at Skaraborgsflyg make this and another engine decal for me. Very nice fellow. George
Well, the smiles here are before and after the actual first engine start in over 25 years !! Was a HUGE relief !! Attachment 513515Attachment 513516 Sorry these are upside down !! Any help with this ??
More details !! Attachment 513517Attachment 513518
Mr Laws with his pipe spreader so the tailpipe chrome fits snug. We had to cut off a portion to look better. Attachment 513519Attachment 513520
Other details. We found the original dipstick in a box from 10 years ago. We forgot what it looked like. Thanks to Mr Mayo, we knew what to look for. It is different from the regular stick as this car had factory air and a different oil cap/spout secondary to the air conditioning compressor. Attachment 513521Attachment 513522
Great updates again, it's nice to see smiles from the restorer and the owner in the same post :)

Congratulations on first engine start!!
Will await the video sound clip.
Fred Johnson
Very happy for you George, it's been a long hard road. I got your video of the start, thank you, now just one more thing, reverse the wiper arms, straight arm is in front of driver, bent arm is for the right side.
Is that an AC oil filler neck and dip stick? We’re here to help.
Thanks Mr Mayo as always and this had factory air. Attachment 513570
Finally on terra firma !! Mr Laws moved the car and actually shifted into first and reverse !! He is tuning the car and moved over to side door to exhaust her fumes !! Attachment 518314Attachment 518315
Here are his tools of the trade. Thanks to Mr Mayo for his expert help !!Attachment 518316Attachment 518317
Mr Laws made a seal behind the engine to keep grime out !! Attachment 518318
George, Do you still need the correct timing decal for your fan housing strap? Just happen to have one from 40 years ago if you need it.
Thanks Rick !! I have my original and had Åke make exact copies. They are in transit. Here is my old one. Attachment 518347 Seems like a one year only as says 1971 on it.
But is it going to be metal like original, or paper like ?
Very good point. Will see what he comes up with and post pics. I agree, only original once.
Hey Guys !! Sorry for the delay but much going on in the world. Here is new timing decal by Åke. Attachment 522982
Visited Mr Laws today. He is well and has been hard at work with details !! He has successfully sorted the electrical gremlins !! All switches work !! He did note a defect in the gas tank since we have placed fuel in it. It is going back to Moyers in PA who have a lifetime warranty !! Attachment 522983Attachment 522984
Nice to see the lights working !! Attachment 523012Attachment 523013
When tank is repaired, we will tackle the alignment and corner balancing. Then, off to the races, hopefully. Thanks for following this thread !! Attachment 523014
Nice update, George!
Stay safe and a sincere thank you for what you are doing on the front lines
Thanks Bryce !!
George
This is a really fantastic restoration.
Thanks for all your posts and commitment to perfection.
Can’t wait to see it live ...of course we need the first drive video !
Stay safe
Awesome !!! about to get my 71S back from paint and commence the journey....
Hey Guys !! Visited Mr Laws and he has put the repaired gas tank in. He repainted it and looks great !! Really want to keep this original big tank !! In the process, we snapped the charcoal canister rubber strap. I guess this 10 year project was too much for her !! Anyone have a spare on their shelf that I could purchase ?? Attachment 527211Attachment 527212
Mr Laws also fixed the seat track problem. He lengthened this bolt by putting a small collar on it so it would stop the seat properly and not come off the tracks when I mash the accelerator to the floor !! Attachment 527213Attachment 527214
He also removed the radio to send to get repaired. Don’t know how much I will listen with at 2.2 stereo in back !! Attachment 527215Attachment 527224
Nice backside view. Attachment 527227
Looking good!
Ravi
Thanks Ravi !! This came in the mail over the weekend. Hope it will happen in November. Attachment 527317
Hey Guys !! Calling all decal experts !! This was on the back on this car. Is it correct for 1971 ?? And why the the seat positions ?? Thanks for any information. Attachment 527853
George
Congrats on acceptance to event....
Re decals ...suggest looking at the photos of 700 mile S .
it’s a 1970 other can comment if different for 1971 .
I will look at the set I bought from carbone a few years ago for my 71 (12/70 mfg)
And send photos
Thinking of driving to event in November (no entry just enjoy )
Interested in event details if you have them
Regards
Frank & Pam
Here are photos of my set from Carbone for 1971 T, maybe S has some variations.
Sorry for reflections , also noticed their site now shows your sticker as correct for 70-71
Mine from several years ago (in photos) appears to be not correct anymore...
Looks like they are upside down ?

Here is a question ...... Has anyone tried to “gold plate” current PORSCHE rear deck letters to match the bright original gold color ?? Any suggestions appreciated !! We are planning on taking the car to get aligned this week. We will use a set of 1976 911 wheels as to not scratch Harvey Weidmans masterpieces !!
I had similar situation but posted a WTB for the original shinny and eventual got very nice set.
Hope you find a nice set
Great idea, Mr Mayo !!
Hey Guys !!! Just visited Mr Laws. He has reinstalled the tank as he had to repaint after the “bubbling” incident. We also removed the later model air conditioner guard. Attachment 530510Attachment 530511
He is also putting more sealer under certain parts of the windshield rubber where it was depressed and to make a tighter seal. Alignment will be soon !! The ‘76 wheels are on the car now. My hair hasn’t been cut since Feb !! Thanks for following this thread !! Attachment 530513Attachment 530514
George
Love the look !! Your hair not the seal.
Good luck with final details

Frank
Hey Guys !! Visited Mr Laws today. We could not align the car locally as car would not fit the machine !!??!! Will take to Autometrics Motorsports in Charleston SC Oct 5th for this, ride height adjustment, and final sorting. Thanks to Peter for the fog covers !! Attachment 532655Attachment 532656
We have some tire clearance issues and will remove this guard and will fabricate a screen to fit.Attachment 532659
The ‘55 356 is in for starter issues. Hopefully looking forward to showing the 911 at Greenbriar, Cincinnati, and Chattanooga Concours in 2021. Thanks for following this thread. Attachment 532662Attachment 532663
Is the oil cooler in the original location? There shouldn't be any clearance problems. Try to retain the louvered plate, the louvers create a low pressure area that helps pull air thru the cooler. A mesh screen won't do that and cooling efficiency is reduced.
As Ed said the stock louvered plate has no clearance issues...
(I retro-fitted a '72 cooler and stub hoses with later hard lines and thermostat on my '73)
Looks like George is using the Elephant Racing cooler setup.
It has a frame mount at the bottom of the cooler.
Maybe it can move closer to the back of the battery box.
Can you show what space is there now
Thanks for the expert input !! We really appreciate it. I will forward to Mr Laws and try to keep this plate. I am almost 100% that it is from Elephant. The years that have gone by have clouded my memory !!
Mr Laws will have fun moving the cooler more forward ....
Then adjusting the smaller connector pipes and then adJusting the finned long pipes .
Ask me how I know (my 71)
The issue is the Elephant setup Does not adapt well to the rear inner body which is not flat like later cars.
Hope it goes well and easier than mine
Let us know
Visited Mr Laws today. Here, he made a custom grill for the front oil cooler. It looks fantastic. He did not have to move the cooler at all and painted black so it disappears. He loves these challenges in design !! Attachment 534406Attachment 534407
Loaded and ready to drive tomorrow to Charleston SC to Eurometric Motorsports for alignment, ride height adjustment, corner balancing, and final check off. Attachment 534408Attachment 534409Attachment 534410
Nice work from Mr Laws, and a very nice Holbert plate:eek:
Trailered her to Charleston SC and delivered the car to Gordon Friedman, owner of Autometrics Motorsports. Attachment 534517Attachment 534518
Gordon and his sons Cory and Adam are great friends. Talented and very authentic, honest guys. I did DE’s then eventually “arrive and drive” Club racing with them from 1998 to 2014 with a couple 944S2’s. I hope you got to see my Tangerine 73 911E...they just freshened up the gearbox for me. My friend Ken is picking it up tomorrow and driving it up to Lexington for me. If you need a 911 Cup car motor, your top choices are Porsche NA Motorsports or Gordon. Their engine room looks like a surgery theatre!
Yes, I agree with you Michael !! They run a neat shop. Interestingly, I went thru out some old SD cards and found some early photos. Not too pretty !! Attachment 534759Attachment 534760
More SD card pics. Skip Trammell in Knoxville TN took the engine/trans out to be sent to Walt at Competition Engineering who rebuilt the engine. Skip rebuilt the trans. Attachment 534761Attachment 534762
Here are production numbers: Attachment 534763Attachment 534764
Drove down to pick her up at Autometrics Motorsports. They got the ride height “spot on” and fixed a few odds and ends but nothing major. They were impressed with her responsiveness !! Attachment 535460
Trailered her back thru road construction in North Charleston, North Columbia, and South Asheville. They are starting to widen I-26 from Asheville to Hendersonville NC from four to six lanes. It is a mess as dump trucks are driving directly from the muddy construction site onto the interstate. If you are driving a nice car I would suggest getting off at Hendersonville and traveling back roads as I did with my trailer. This is a 4-5 year project and is a total mess with massive traffic back ups at peak times. Attachment 535461
Pensive pose back at home. A long Road these past 10 years but I owe this Forum a HUGE THANK YOU for everyone’s help!! Now, to master that Dogleg ...... Attachment 535462Attachment 535463
George,
Your new driving adventures have just begun....
George, know exactly how you feel. I've had mine for just over 18 months having driven over 2000 miles and still not close to getting used to it. Having driven manuals with the standard 1-up shift pattern, it takes much effort to overcome a lifetime of muscle memory.
BTW, drove my first Porsche 356 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised how easy they are to drive. The hunt now starts...
Congratulations, George!
Perfect time of year in your neck of the woods to get out and enjoy your long awaited prize.
George
Very momentous....!
Your styled for the drive , am sure you will be hard to get out of that seat.
Great Project and congrats to you and your team/vendors.
See you at PCA Parade next year
Frank & Pam
Thanks guys !! Will slowly break her in and keep everyone posted as to developments. Hopefully no big surprises !!
The car looks fabulous, George. Congratulations on getting to the other side—the fun side—of its restoration, and best wishes for the miles ahead!
Thanks guys for the nice words. This community of enthusiasts is THE BEST !! Well, today Susan and I took the car out for its longest day of driving. Close to 100 miles to the Tennessee/North Carolina border area. Credit Susan, the photographer. Attachment 537744Attachment 537745
Mr Laws fixed the back up light issue with cleaning the switch on the trans and replacing the bar that engages the switch. Very precise type work. The spare tire fits over the 100L tank and we placed the infamous FIA Group 2 Saloon Car “rear seat extenders”. Seems early ‘71 cars had this included for Porsche’s attempt to homologate for this class. Attachment 537746Attachment 537747
Also placed a new fire extinguisher on the roll hoop.Attachment 537748
After the drive, I gave her a bath. I used Zep-o-Shine wash and P21S on the wheels. The Zep is a wash like none I have used in the past. Much thicker and feels like your are using moisturizer !! Maybe I needed to use more water but felt great going on. And the P21S really cleaned the wheels. I know that we have to be careful in what products we use on the wheels. I did not want to take chances !! Attachment 537749Attachment 537750
You guys forget that I live in East Tennessee where these type trucks are still in service along side their IROC Camero counterparts !! Seriously, I will drive by and check it out tomorrow.
Alas, no Nissan pickup in the driveway .......
The P21S wheel cleaner is very concentrated. You could cut it in half with water and still does very well in cleaning wheels. Yes the clear anodizing is very sensitive to solvent cleaners and the wrong ones can damage the wheel finish, Stick withe the P21S for sure and nothing else.
Agree on P21S wheel cleaner, great & safe product
But you can do better on the car wash....my personal favorite is Optimum car wash, and their ONR (Optimum No Rinse) is the industry standard for "waterless" car wash
Add 1oz. to 2 gallons water and you can wash entire car without a hose. No scratches, perfect for our "almost clean" cars
Thanks Bill and ordered a gallon on Amazon. So many choices now ..... hard to trust such different technology. I will miss the hose accidentally spraying me or my wife when we drop it !!
You are a trendsetter, Adam, and thanks for starting this thread !!
With my free time, I pondered about decal placement on this 12/70 build car. More specifically, the Weltmeister decal. It should be the 69/70 decal but should it be placed in front windscreen or rear quarter window ??
As per the ESR's shop, decal is on the front windshield.
1 '69 Starting approx. February, 1970 until approx. March, 1971
2 '69 - '70 Until late February, 1972
3 '69, '70, '71 Until March, 1973
4 '72 CanAm Interseries March, '73 until February, 74
Placement: Weltmeister Decals
1 and 2 Apply to the inside front windshield, passenger-side bottom corner, about an inch from the seal Weltmeister Decals
3 and 4 Apply to the inside back quarter window glass
https://shop.early911sregistry.org/c...meister-decals
Thanks so much !! It is so interesting that that Porsche was one to two years behind in certain visible areas of the car, decals and seat belt labels, etc.
Drove over to Bristol where the NASCAR track resides. Up to 300 miles so far. Getting better at that dogleg ... Attachment 538273Attachment 538274

CONGRATS George !!!!
Looks like a GREAT show with outstanding cars...
Your artisan's award is VERY cool...
Cheers,

George
So glad this great car and restoration were appreciated !
Very cool trophy
Congrats
This award is the result of this website and the numerous contributions by almost countless members. The Registry badge on the back grill is reflective of this. I thank everyone who has helped and encouraged me (and my wife and Mr Laws !!) thru the years !!
Hey Guys !! I noted on this early photo on my engine that the plug wires that attach to the top of the rotor cap seem taller than what I have now. Are these available ?? I like the taller look, it looks more performance oriented ... Attachment 552474
Hi George,
Those are the original Beru boots with integrated resistors. Tricky to find and even harder to find still in spec for resistance. You may try a Beru dust boot G1PK which is a tall Boot, its what the R used on the Marelli cap, still available. Will give you "the look"
Take care,
Brad
Great suggestion. Get the look but modern wires, etc. Anyone know of Beru distributors in the US ??
Hi George,
I had to hunt around for them. Might search for G1PK Beru. If you have trouble finding I should have a few on hand.
Thanks,
Brad
Hey Guys !! I trailering the car up to Cincinnati for their Concours at Ault Park. What a scenic park that is a perfect backdrop for such an event. The weather is stifling hot here but no rain !! The cars in Sports Contemporary 1960-1985 were very equal in quality to the Greenbrier event though none later than 1972 were on the field. The judges were very thorough and had considerable knowledge of 911’s. Well, she won a first place award and the Howard Rapp Award for best Porsche. A beautiful 1963 Corvette fuelie deservedly won Best in Class. A very nice 1970 911E Targa Euro in Tangerine was next to me. Again, I am so grateful for all that have helped with this project and, without this website, these results would have been a fantasy!! BIG Congrats George !!!!
George
Excellent ……well deserved and rewarding for all the time in the restoration process.
Wonderbar! Congratulations George.
Ravi
Congratulations, George! You and your car deserve it!
Thanks everyone !! It’s all because of this Registry !!
Hey Guys !! Sent the 911 to the Northeast for some events and driving with friends in the Boston area. The car is entered in the Misselwood Concours at Endicott College, Beverly MA. The driver for Passport was very dedicated in delivering the car in time for the Concours despite horrid driving weather in the NE. Picked up at 7 AM and drove in driving rain to the event. Attachment 555020
G-
You are correct about the weather right now in the NE. One of my neighbors at the lake shack in New Hampshire sent me a pic this morning, of my boat literally circling the drain. It's normally safe on dry land, along with the kayak behind it, but apparently dry land is in short supply. So I may have some boat saving in my future.
PS, the car looks great!
---Adam
Misselwood is an intimate, beautiful setting on the coast with a very high standard of automobiles. The 911 brought home a Misselwood Award !! Attachment 555021Attachment 555022Attachment 555023

OUTSTANDING George ... !!!
Awesome George, the car and yourself look better orientated this way.
Attachment 555032
Thanks Mark !! It was a topsy turvy day ........
Hey Guys !! Just a quick update. She is in Arlington MA for a year or so. Took her to Musante Motorsports, South Windsor CT for 500 mile oil change, corner balancing and alignment. Very professional shop and got her sorted in record time !! Drove from South Windsor to Arlington (100 miles) on I-84 /90 and had a blast. Car will turn on a dime and drove 80-85 MPH for the first time. I now know what the early 911 secret is. Raw, responsive type experience. Next events include Boston Cup on the Boston Common in September and NE PCA Concours at the Elms, Newport RI in early October. Attachment 557346Attachment 557347
Congrats on getting out to enjoy your car! Thanks for sharing with us….
It is understandable that you would be head over heals with glee.........
Are you putting car in storage for a year? I hope its dry storage,,,,and use fuel stabilizer, don't want to gum up that system now that its all working.
Thanks for the concern, Mr Mayo. Storage is a premium in Boston so my close Porsche friend offered his heated, climate controlled facility to store. And looking forward to drives with his ‘67S and ‘70T out Route 2 (as Magnus Walker did in an episode of “The Next Big Thing”) and New Hampshire/North South Shore MA, etc. Bonding with several Porsche buddies in this area is priceless and worth the years of restoration !!!
Hey Guys !! Just thought to share a link to the Eisenmann muffler website that included my 911: https://eisenmann-exhaust-systems.de...g/detail/id/17
great build conclusion, congrats...are you going to show it at Lime Rock this weekend?
Hi Ron !! You know, but I really did drop the ball on this one ..... I have only been to one of their concours several years ago and plain forgot. And Porsche is featured with a 911 class judged !!! I am going with a friend on Saturday and could have driven the car on Sunday. But, hard to plan for so many events when one is based 13 hours away ......
If it helps, I have two slots reserved for the "gathering of marquees" and I almost certainly will only be using one. Not the concours, but a cool to park the car on the track (and the drive down from Lee to LRP can be awesome if you know the right roads). Either way, should be a fun weekend. Rick will be in the parade tomorrow, and the PCA parking lot all weekend.
Hi Rick !! Thanks so much for the nice invite. I am only up for a few days and, since at LR on Sat, I will prob be doing yard work and house chores Sunday/ Monday as going back to TN on Tuesday. You exemplify what makes this form ROCK !! Hope to run into you on Saturday !! I will be prob wearing a straw hat ...... !!
Hi Guys !! Had a nice weekend in the Boston area showing the car at Porsche Day at the Larz Andersen Museum on Saturday and The Boston Cup on the Boston Common today. Some rain early this morning but gorgeous day. Next, PCA NE Concours at The Elms in Newport RI on Saturday. Attachment 559701Attachment 559702

Nice work George..
Hey Guys !! Greetings from Porsche Parade 2022 from the Poconos. Highlight was meeting a legend, Ed Mayo !! He has helped me so much with my 911 !! Enjoyed driving down from Boston with my close friend, Dick Yirikian, and his Bahama Yellow 1967 911S. Both cars performed well. Congrats to Jay Yost , who won our Concours division with his impressive Signal Orange 1970 S Euro with sunroof !!Attachment 576456Attachment 576457Attachment 576458Attachment 576459
Ed is one of the best in the business and a great guy.
Hey Guys !! I finally got my FIVA Identity Card. Through Hagerty Pennsylvania office. They arrange the inspection, which takes a while to obtain. Attachment 583475Attachment 583476
Very cool George. Does your car still have the rear seat FIA homologation bolsters. I have only seen these in one other car, very rare..
Best regards,
Brad
Thanks Brad, here is a picture. Attachment 583534
Nice article written by ESR member Michael Scott about these bolsters in this months 000 Magazine. Lots of factory documentation in this in-depth 7 page article !!

Into her new bubble yesterday to ride out the Northeast winter. Only 60 plus degrees over the weekend here in Boston. Attachment 583567
Yes, the wonderful Ed Mayo, never too busy to help nor made fun of me with my silly questions:p. Even rebuilt my tensioners all the way from Oz and sent it back quickly. Beautiful car by the way!
