    Glaverbel only in rear quarters and windshield. Never have heard why.

    Glaverbel

    Interesting thread. I took this photo at Amelia Island (Gooding auction) while taking various detail shots of the 1973 RS that they sold the next day. I could not remember seeing the Glaverbel imprint on "regular"
    911s, so the Glaverbel caught my eye.

    Trying to find some original rear quarter glass,i was only aware of front screen and rear quarters also.One person informed me that door glass was also available in period,i dont think so.
    You can now purchase new complete sets of thin glass copies,but not front screen.
    The last photo,the triangle does not look correct to me,it may be the angle that the photo was taken.

    found this note tucked away in a hidden corner of my computer:

    Original 1973 Glaverbel glass is listed in the parts books as "4.2 mm"

    not sure if that was for an RS or what
