WTB: Long (to fit a Dansk) muffler straps

Nice, paintable pair. I'll blast and paint, but no rot or heavy pitting, please. Need to be the 'longer' size (@545mm) to fit around a Dansk on a ''67. Thanks

Anyone have a pair, or know where I can get a pair? Or know what straps I need for a Dansk muffler on a '67?

That's exactly the part number/part I received from SMC, but they seem too short, and impossible to align the bolt holes. Did SMC change the part? Are the ones you guys got stainless? Are you fitting a Dansk? Thanks for the help.

    Yes and yes.

I found that if i ran a zip tie through the holes and tensioned it as much as i could that the strap would take the shape that was needed.

Cut it off and fit your bolts, job done.

On my 69 and then 73, I found it helpful to put a bend in the clamp where it's going to go "over" the bracket--precrimping it so that you're not fighting to get that extra length there.

Yes I had trouble with the bolts reaching as well. A quick trip to the hardware store solved that.

I feel your pain. just use a bolt that is 2 inches to long. Tighten the clamp to conform it to the muffler/bracket. At that point, remove the bolt that is to long, and then install the proper bolt.
