    Yes, Boxster 03:

    it seems as tho Horst or maybe it was Wilhelm , had kept a box of the old ones hidden under his workbench and threw them on with abandon from time to time;

knowing full well, one day the cognoscenti would be gnashing and wailing, tearing eyebrows out by the roots over these very things.

Personally, I think the one responsible is most likely staring into space towards a field of linden wood and smiling with a weak, upturned tweak of the lip; woolen blankie across the swollen knee joints bent with pain from all those years of hoisting 356 and 911 engines up from the bottom of a workroom floor.
    Thinking.......

"Someday. Yes, someday, revenge will be mine."

Pretty car. Amazing paint --- especially in silver. Original, too?

And what's the story on those miles?

And thank you for posting. This is exactly the kind of car that I come here to see/read about

    And don't forget about this thread . . .

On that note I would challenge anyone to beat this story:

Several years ago at a RR/Bentley dealer in West Palm Beach a customer brought his car in complaining of a nasty clunk on accel/decel. After weeks of searching and finding nothing the mechanic finally cut into one of the front 1/4 panels and found a can of Coke that read:

"Ha! Finally found it, eh Yank!".

    Gotta love those Brits.

Very nice Frank you got one of the last 71T's I got one of the first 2090 before yours. I also still have the original XWX Michelin's but on steel wheels that I only use for storing the car. They still hold air but getting a little cracked up from old age like me.
That would be pretty early for flats to come out if that's what I'm seeing on your car. What's the date on the spare wheel if they are indeed flats? As for the flag mirror someone on the assy line might have jumped the gun to put that one on. Is the paint tag 80-80 H ? That's what mine is. I hope you get really big bucks for your's then there might be some hope for my little tourer. Seeing how I'm going to have to sell mine in the near future, as the old age Government pensions up here in Canada doesn't pay enough to own a Porsche. I would love to still have her and get her out on the road one more time for her 50th birthday before selling.
I'm also very interested in seeing a lot of nice detailed photos.

Pleased to see 911T's are now getting credits. And especially pleased if its a 911T 1971

    2492 looks as good as…mine (1037 RoW).
BTW, yes some late 1971 had flag mirrors (as also some 1974 Uk RHD market 911 still had Durants).

How about this - I move in next door and pay you "income rent" on the Porsche - I get to drive it and so do you - then when it is worth 7 figures you get to sell it - move to Beverly Hills and in the mean time I pay your utility bill

    - interesting about the flag mirror - a well known Dallas owner has a 72MY with a round Durant mirror and your 71MY has a flag - can someone comment about Durants on later than 71MY cars and Flags on earlier than 72MY

    Thanks
Some markets still had the round Durant do to local regs. Italy for example I think, maybe Swiss?
