Question about rarity of particular 15x8 and 15x7 Porsche Fuchs

I have a set of 15x8 and 15x7 Fuchs that I'm trying to learn more about.

I believe the rears are extremely rare but would love to hear more about them. Here is the description of both with as much info as I have:

    15x8s:
    Date stamped 5/73
    3 prong center cap
Porsche part number (hard to read because of paint but looks like: 911361020 and than a "02" in a box.
Here are some pics of the 15x8 wheels:

Not terribly rare Paul. The 02 8" wheels would work on a late series three RS and the 11 "7 wheels for a '74 Carrera. Probably other models these would work for also.

Thanks Brian for the info. Any idea on the value of these? I'm going to go with another wheel and wondering if I should save them for another hot rod project or sell them to a collector that they may be more important for.

Paul, I don't have any idea about the value of the wheels. You might want to ask Harvey if you see him next week. I would try to sell the .02 8" and keep the 7" for your project.

The fitment is as Brian said. Neither pair is finished correctly. The are both finished as (first used) "75 Turbo" finish. (Same as 16 etc)
They should both have the 73-74 production..... polished spokes/lips and outer offset with rough .
The 8s are worth plenty (3500+pr)and the 7s (700+pr) not so much.
This is a new 11 wheel with the 73-74 finish.

The 8's would be a perfect match for my 1st June production RS. Put me in line for them if you decide to sell. I'm thinking Harvey would be the place to get them refinished correctly as I have some wheels with him at the moment. Would mean you wouldn't have international shipping to me.

THanks Harvey....you are the man! Great looking picture of a wheel. You certainly are the master. I always appreciate your input. HOpefully I'll see you at Cambria next week.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the email. Once I get my new wheels and I figure out what I want to do, I will let you know. Of course, if someone buys them and wants me to just ship them to Harvey, that sounds great. Of course, I highly recommend for these wheels that Harvey restore them since they are so valuable and Harvey certainly ads value to anything he does.

    Cheers,

    Paul
