Fuel bleeder tank in LF fender - what to do for a replacement?

The car is a 1973 S. My tank has a crack in it and it appears replacement is NLA. This is the one behind the left headlight bucket - # 2 in the drawing. I've read several threads but have not seen a conclusive answer. Thanks

David - it's about a 3" horseshoe from memory when I removed it last year. An engineer friend want to try and repair it, so I'm sending to him first. Haven't tried the used market yet. Thanks for the suggestion.

My original was too brittle to repair, but I was able to find a good used one in the For Sale Forum.
DC Automotive has one for $75.

I sourced a decent used one from fellow member Tom1394racing a couple of years back. You might try sending him a PM.
    Cheers!

I stuck a one way valve into the fuel line that leads to the tank in the fender (mine also cracked and was spilling gas on the hot caliper). It allows air into the main fuel tank but wont allow fuel to flow into the fender tank. Works perfectly. The valve I used is a "one man brake bleader" rounded out the edges so it fits nicely into the fuel hose.

That's really just a burp tank. No pressure, but hard to find an adhesive that will stick. You might have to stick a patch on with jb weld.

The drawing is really helpful. I'm looking for all the same parts. Who ever imagined we would want this stuff 40 years later. Then again I knew guys who threw Corvette fuel injection systems in the trash back in the early 60's.

There is a repro in the works for this tank. It maybe a few more months but it will hit the market eventually.

Nice shiny white ones like they were originally.

My original was very brittle and broke very easily. Used one I found seems to be in good shape. Any idea on cost of repro?
