Don great looking car, good luck on the sale.
I notice that it doesn't have elephant hide door panels or dash insert. Some people have suggested ALL 1968 911S' came with elephant hide. I believe that to be an incorrect statement, and my '68 S has the basketweave as does this one, with the original red crayon numbers on the panels that prove they were originally in my car.
My intention is not to start a discussion on the topic but to support the claim you make this is an original car in case someone comments on the lack of elephant hide.

Only the earliest 68s had Elephant hide. I have had at least 6 68S cars with Elephant Hide and they were all built in 67. I guess it was not well recieved.

I think so. I have an early 1968 911S and it has the elephant hide. I think Porsche went through their stock, and once all used-up, they went back to basketweave.
Thanks. Love the seats- good luck w sale PorSport

Might want to archive this photo on the thread as well:
No one is hiding the fact the car will need some repair and restoration. I will consider an offer in the 150s. Thanks.
