    Porsche Factory

Going to Zuffenhausen in a few weeks. Going to spend some time at the museum. Can anyone recommend anything else to visit early 911 related there or in southern Germany? Is it possible to pick up a certificate of authenticity at the factory?

    Thanks

If you happen to get to Munich the Deutsche Museum is worth a visit. There used to be an all stainless steel 1967 911S on display there. Don't know if they still have it.

The factory tour and museum are linked, but leave plenty of time for the museum. Plan to dine there - upstairs is the nicer restaurant - great overall experience. The MBZ tour is supposed to be good as well - have not done.

my partner and i visited a couple of years ago, museum was not open mondays and the english speaking factory tours were only conducted Tuesday and Thursday.

we had to book for the tour and contacted Porsche Cars Australia well in advance.

museum shop is also full of goodies not available everywhere !

PS you are only a couple of hours from the Nordschleife !!

You may also contact the Archivist of the Museum, a great guy. He is off sundays and mondays I believe. If ok, will mp his details.
BTW, he is on leave until september 23rd.

Thanks Kevin. We were wondering what to do for dinner that day. Didn't realize they had a restaurant.
