Out of the darkness and into the light, a 69S comes out to greet the world

this is so cool, an early 69S in ivory with an original black and yellow Calif plate, purchased in 1971 and garaged in 1994, it now wants OUT
original paint, well most of it, driver door appears a bit out of line.
aside from the baby toronado vitolini mirror for a wider view, this car has managed to stay whole in the hands of the second owner who meticulously kept records and a mileage and gas usage record neatly compiled in a little "black book".

I need some paint advice as far as keeping this original paint ...original.
it does have small browning spots, little dots of surface rusts showing where rocks hit the front hood and several other places.

I need help from someone qualified with knowledge of paint restoration. Any and all assistance welcome and appreciated.

    Whoa --- very nice, zoo!

What's The Story? . . . how you found it, where, etc

Also . . . really curious about the black plate. Do you have the '1st registered' date? Would be on the title. The VIN must be very low . . .

. . . and, of course --- more pics, please
