    But you know him?

    May be 'article' time, Max?

I should clarify that he's a Polo guy, not The Polo guy, which I would say is reserved for Dean Polopolous. I think there are other guys building the kits from Dean, but Craig makes them run and tunes them in a car before selling. Some of them get individual throttle bodies and EFI like the one in the 58 that won its class at the autocross driven by his son Clint (owner/everything at Rebel Racing Products).

The family drove both of the cars up from Morro Bay.

    More 934/5

    37 years-old

Talk about a tail? How much drag do you think all this wingage has? And how much horsepower to push all this down a racetrack?

Going by the plumbing hanging out the back, this looks to be just a single-turbo, too

    Outrageous

And what would Colin Chapman say? . . .

    . . . duck!

    956

    Porsche's Group C sports prototype

Interesting collection o' bits. Company's first alu-monocoque --- weighs <1800 lbs . . . coupled w/ the engine that had originally been developed for Indy. Venturi-bottomed, too --- + specifically designed to take advantage of ground-effects

    More Parade, 2014 . . .

    More 956 . . .

    I know-I know --- the 917 is more powerful (almost 2X)/dramatic/awesome, etc . . .

    But

    The 956 holds the all-time record lap-time on the Nordschleife . . .

    6 minutes, 11.13 seconds . . .

    = 126 MpH/202 KpH

    . . . thanks to Stefan Bellof

    356A Carrera GT Speedster

'GT' = no trim, special deco, no carpets, alu panels, special-special-special, etc, etc . . .

    Greg Young's one-and-only REVS UP

A '59? --- and one of the last made

    Last I'd heard, Mr Young had found/was re-building the original (!!) 4-cam

And --- as you can see . . . . he drives it

    935 . . .

Didn't see/pay attention to the card, so --- kinda guessing, here, but . . . this looks like the /77 --- 2 big + 2 little pipes = twin-turbo. Rocker extensions, but no wheel-house vents

Almost demure-looking, here --- in tidy/whitey . . . but this looks to be the IMSA/Camel GT sub-specie of Porsche's all-powerful/-conquering fire-farter. The 'flatnose' came about, thanks to some careful reading/creative interpretation of the FIA's rules regarding production car 'silhouettes' by Norbert Singer

Short Version: Not these Guys again? Didn't we just get rid of that 917 thing?

    Up to a surreal 800 HP in a 2150 lb/970 kg car --- w/something like 65% rear-weight bias . . . these cars dominated GT racing in the late '70s-thru-early-'80s

According to the info poster at Canepa's museum, that is the last factory built 935, a 1979 model or at least raced in 1979 by Bruce Canepa. It came with an aluminum roll cage which he promptly changed for steel despite the protestations from the Porsche engineers about the extra weight. They had been impressed by his driving and so had arranged for him to have the last one. Having raced sprint cars Bruce was more aware of the need for a stout cage. Apparently at the first race there was a long delay after a crash involving another factory 935 with the aluminum roll cage. The reason the red flag took so long is that the driver had been skewered by one of the cage tubes...

Here's something that has 50% more horsepower and weighs a couple hundred pounds less:
