    While we are on the subject, what is the exact difference from a "Kardex" and a COA? Seems I remember reading something about "Kardex" being the company that acquired the COAs at one time?

    A Kardex was the original build sheet used in the factory to document the car. A Certificate of Authenticity is Porsches present way to document the information for you without showing you the original Kardex, supposedly for legal reasons.

    Kardex was not the build sheet, it was used for warranty purposes.
