Guys,

The other day I had the opportunity to pick up and part out a 69 E that had been rolled, but did have aluminum S caliper, Koni struts. Seemed like a great addition for my 69 912. Why would you not want aluminum calipers on your 912?

I installed the koni struts on the 912, put the car on the ground, only to find the camber was about 6 degrees off on one side and maybe 5 degrees off on the pax side. The car looked like Mr. Squash-You-All-Flat and 4 of his friends had sat in the trunk, making the front tires about 6 inches further apart at the bottom than at the top. I am not sure if the bend is in the strut tube or in the spindle to tube attachment point.

So the question is: "Can (should) these struts be fixed or should I start looking for new tubes? If they can be fixed, who can reliably do the job. lf new tubes are in order, what would be a good source for unbent 3.5 inch tubes? I have already purchased new shock inserts and ball joints.

Thanks. I refuse to give up on this project.
