Thread: Help identifying this engine

019 is for 2.7RS. The 013 must work better on a 2.4 because the 019 is running super rich since its meant for an engine 12.5% bigger.

Yes, my bad, you are correct. I got the numbers confused. The US 2.4S pump was the 021. Perhaps also the 012 pump? I meant everything I said though regarding the differences between the euro and U.S. versions, the earopean S pumps put out more horses. It must have been our emission standards that caused Bosch to have to make pumps for each market. Perhaps this is when the European started getting the higher hp engines. The shop that looked over my 013 pump told me that the euro's run richer. The guy I talked to a few years back who had run both the 2.4S pumps told me there is a noticeable difference between the two.

    flat six,

The 013, and the 021 pumps both came stock on 2.4S's, the 019 pump came stock on 2.7 RS's.........

The 019 RS pump has a different space cam and flows more fuel then the the two 2.4S pumps....

    Hope this helps

The 019 is the holy grail of pumps because it is a rare Carrera RS pump. The 013 is a great pump and will provide lots of power and tons of smiles. I got the 019 confused as the U.S. version of the 2.4S pump, but I meant to say 021. The 013 simply makes a little more power than the 021. Any of these pumps are considered the best of the best and is a great find in a 914-6.
