SAVE THE DATE ! Targa Baja California Oct 16-19th, 2014

DATE CHANGE- SEE OTHER POST OCT 22-26TH NEW DATES

We have decided to move forward with this event. We know its not for everyone, but for those that decide to join us, be prepared for fun, camaraderie, and car enthusiasts Latino style !

the www.targacalifornia.com site will be updated soon and entry registration on our sanctioning organization; NASA will be too.
    Details you need to know:
    1) Headquarters hotels in San Diego area and Ensenada will be announced with the opening of registration of the event. Wednesday evening Oct 15 will find us in a SD area hotel for check in
    2) The event will have liability coverage in the USA and Mexico
    3) Personal car insurance , with stated value, and liability will be offered by a reputable company in Mexico. You must fill out their forms completely, show usa proof of insurance, and obtain a policy before you can participate in this event. Again, when registration opens, we will give you the contact information. Classic/vintage cars can have excellent coverage at reasonable prices
    4) We have the support of the Mayor of Ensenada, the Secretary of Tourism Baja California, and the major business associations in Ensenada as well. This means a lot when organizing an event
    5) The Saturday scheduled car show is for fun, as we all drive cars on real roads, which means chips here and there, embedded insects, and other fauna. No points will be deducted for this There are some really nice cars in the area, and they take their shows seriously
    6) The HQ hotel in Ensenada has a gated parking area, guarded 24/7. The main section of town is a few blocks walk. There are some great restaurants and food there !
    7) Pemex premium gas is ok for 90% of our cars, but just in case, there is name brand race gas available in Ensenada (The run the Baja 500 and 1000 races from here; remember?) So a decent splash of race gas mixed with Pemex will be just fine
    8) Escorts , with state sponsored service/ repair truck, will support us from the border to Ensenada Thursday and back on Sunday. We are working on a sort of "fast pass" that gets us through the line to the US Border station
    9) Flat bed service is part of the package in case you break down. Its about one hour wait from where he is stationed
    10) Radios will be handed out to every 10th car, so we can stay in communication with leaders and followers
    11) Total entry will be limited, so when we open registration, please do so asap !

We already have St Clair Insurance returning to sponsor this event, with other companies following soon. We thank them for their support and hope you contact them for your Porsche/ other car needs
