The latest scam is to send a PM to someone who has an item for sale or low activity with a link that brings up a fake login screen that looks like the registry page and once you have given them your ID and password they will now use your account to scam people. This is happening on Pelican and 914world also. The red flag is they prefer accounts that have very little activity so if someone has an older join date and 1 or 2 posts be careful.

Did anyone get a screen grab before it was taken down?

That ad was amazing in it's detail including a phone number and believable history. Is it not a stretch to believe that a buyer, in an attempt to commandeer the opportunity wouldn't do his best to cry scam and have the ad removed?

I'm curious: What exactly does it take to convince Everett to pull an ad off The Samba?

I had contacted the owner via ebay when I saw this ad (it had previously been listed on ebay too). They had discovered it on Friday and already reported it to craigslist, "saving a buyer a $10k deposit to an unknown seller".

Rick2 wanted to "meet" the guy who advertised his car after it had sold some years ago. Guy wouldn't do it. lol.
    Lucky for him.
