I'm just guessing, but everything in this conversation has 'scam' written on it:

    Craigslist ad: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/5471002769.html

    Euro model Porsche 911
    Zero rust issues
    No accidents
    Perfect body gaps

I will be happy to answer questions over the phone so send your number if you are interested in the car.

Here's how my interaction with the seller went over email:

    Me:
    Hi,
Could you tell me a bit more about your 911?
    Which model is it - T, E, or S?
Is it numbers matching (original engine and transmission)?
Is it roadworthy and running, or has it been stored for a long time?

    Thank you.
    Seller:
    Hello

    T coupe
Runs and drives but hasn't been a daily driver for awhile
    Me:
Thanks! Any rust issues, is black original color?
    Seller:
    No. It is sepia
    Me:
Thanks! Would you have a couple more pictures (interior, trunk, engine, underside,...)?
    Seller:
    $65k
    Me:
No need to send pictures, thanks.
    Seller:
    I sold it this weekend

...some folks just seem to have too much time on their hands.
Currently in between Porsches. Sold my 73.5T Targa, now suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Attending Rennsport Reunion VI didn't really help getting over it.

    Past: '73.5T Targa, '12 991S Cab, '07 987

You have to work with the fraud departments of the banks involved with wire transfer- if scammers have money the buyer is mostly likely SOL. In today's market you can not buy a car w/o out someone physically verifying that car exists and deal it legitimate. This is a very lucrative business for the criminal networks and there is way more of this than anyone can imagine.

The banks cash in as well - even if you can get a wire transfer held up, the bank will drag its feet for weeks; possibly months. A friend who sent money to Smokey Auto Sales in FL (allegedly) notified the bank within hours of initiating the wire transfer, and it took over a month to get the money released.

yep- takes a long time to recover funds but it beats the hell out of kissing it goodbye for nothing.

I talked to "Rick" today at this "place". Guy had a thick accent, and said he bought the car with 6 others at auction (yeah, right.) I've got a customer 3/4 mile from the address, so I asked him to take a look. Place doesn't even exist. Current tenants have already called the police on this guy. I didn't even ask him about the 356.

Maybe I'll give them a call too. Tell them I'm coming over with a full price cash offer. That'll get their panties in a bunch. These guys that do this suck.

Looking at the picture on the link you've posted, the background and generally slightly darkened images look very similar to BHCC. Have the images been 'lifted' from their site I wonder?
    Looking for 1967 911 trans 130830/902-1
