1971 911s race car found in an underground parking lot!!

    Hi Everyone

Well I was fourtante enough to stumble upon 9111300492 in a downtown Toronto underground where it had been collecting dust
for many years! I contacted the owner which was not an easy task and bought the car on the spot. Turns out the car has been sitting
in this location under a cover for a couple years. It was tucked away and not easy to locate and for the most part looked unassuming under a
old ratty car cover. Once the cover was pulled I could not believe my eyes!!! The car was extremely clean through out other then a few cob webs
it looked like it had just rolled off the dealer floor (minus the modifications for racing)

After quickly running to the bank, I dont carry that much cash on me I got things under way to move this car out from the labrynth it was stored in.
2 levels below at the base of the skydome (Jays baseball staduim) Since the car had not been run in some time I had to tow it up the numerous ramps.

I had fetched my trusty Durango and a few straps and went to work. I was a little worried about the brakes if the straps gave out on the ramps
My son followed close with wheel chocks in hand. With the added help of my father we made quick work of it. The car finally saw the light of day again!

I only know a limited amount about the car as I dealt mostly with owners personal assistant. So information was limited but I did obtain two CASC log books as well as I modifications and parts list.

    Vin # 9111300492
    3.0 930/21 Engine
    Balanced and blue printed
    J.E. Pistons 10.5:1
    Ported/Polished heads
    Lightened polished rods
    930 Oil pump
    GE 60 cams
40mm Webber carbs with upgraded manifolds. Not sure what model yet.
    CRANE 6 point ignition

    Transmission
915 with 731 crown and pinion Posit trak differential

    Suspension
    all bushing replaced
    RSR Bilsteins
22mm front and 27mm Rear torsion bars

    Turbo 930 calipers
    Turbo Fuchs 16x7 16x9

From the title it looks like the car was imported from Germany in 1986 by a local motorsports/Garage.
my guess is it was used for racing in Germany and then brought here. This is only a guess from the list of previous
owners I made this assumption. Car is stamped/plated with CASC race number on the dash and cage.

I have contacted Porsche to get more information and will update when I get that information. As it stands now I have two
race cars now a 1976 911s IROC style and now this 1971 911s. I am going to have to chose one but at the time I could not pass
up on this car. I am always under the impression buy it and figure it out after! I will also post more indepth pictures once I get it out
    and up on a hoist.

take them to our Saturday Coffee meet!

Hey John thanks for the PM outlining the details of the sale.
I'm glad it went to an early S member.
I thought you were one of the typical Kijiji vultures we all run into now and then.
Hopefully we can do a run in the cars one day north of TO.
