Anyone else find it ironic that Adam says someone else is long winded? ;-)

    Here's my beef...

Not all early Porsche parts are rare. Please do not describe your passenger side floor board as RARE.

You know what else isn't rare? Reproduction parts. They are not rare (unless it's Eric's sound pad which, okay okay, IS truly a rare item) ... they are reproductions. OE high butterfly is rare, the repops are not. Bosch twin plug distributors are rare, JB Racing distributors are not. Titanium connecting rods are rare, Carillo rods are not. 1969 911S cranks and rods are rare. 2.0L 911S heads are rare. 906 pistons and cylinders are rare.

A 400mm bakelite steering wheel IS NOT rare. And neither is the reproduction horn button you're trying to sell with it. Trust me, the leather is bad and the chrome ring is wrong. It may be nice, but it sure ain't rare.

Oftentimes when I see the word "rare" in the description I know to keep scrolling.

Marco I totally agree. Another sore point is the 914 steering wheels ads. Jim and others wrote an excellent tech. article on the 380mm wheels. There is no reason for anyone to advertise one as an RS wheel, etc. when it isn't. I am sure there has been many new members that have been sucked in with these ads, I also don't care for the sneaky term " R/S type ", or 911S type , etc.
