Which one? early 68 had the split bar grill, late 68 was the revised grill that carried through about 71?, I have a nice example of both, the early grill has been painted black.
Drop me a note with email if you want pics.

    Regards

I think that Aase Sales in Columbus has a spare three-bar grill that should be correct for your 68. www.Aasesales.com

I show an NOS one in stock but the used one from Aase would be MUCH cheaper.
For $350 you can't go wrong if it's nice.

What part, that the late 68 had the revised grill, or that the early had the split bar?
I have had both, a early coupe with the split bar and a late Targa with the revised.

Yes, you need a three bar grill. Yours is black and should be anodized (which is probably underneath the paint).

Curtisaa was saying that the 3 bar grill does not got all the way to 71 as post above suggests. It started early during the MY68 cars and went through MY69 cars.

    Thank You
Yeah I was thinking about stripping it also, as well as the PORSCHE and the 911 letters/numerals
