Fleet Week Coronado Speed Festival. September 20 & 21, 2014

Now that we have all recovered from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.

Be sure to try this San Diego Vintage event at least once.
Escape the heat of the desert tracks (and the entire country) with a weekend in Coronado.
A race track surrounded by awesome views...San Diego bay, Pt Loma and the downtown buildings.
Support Fleet Week and our Military, come out and enjoy the race on the base.

    September 20 & 21, 2014 | 8:00am-5:00pm | Naval Air Station North Island.

A Lotus powered Ginetta starting in the back of the pack.

Since Monterey we did raise the car a little for the uneven airport surface.
Reduced final drive spur gear in the quick change to about 140mph.
It should get off the corners well, short track with lots of shifting.
    Good fun, see you there.

If all us early long hood guys want to park together again, I'll talk to the PCA Chair. What do you think?

This is a great event, racing at an airport just like the old days. Great views from North Island, super spot.

From past experience, do they have the same races Sat. as they do Sun.? It was hard to tell from schedule. Also, if you are going to get us to park together John, I am assuming we buy the VIP parking and pass correct? Let us know as soon as you can if you secured a "corral" for us. I am in probably either way, but would be good to know going into it we are all parking together in VIP parking.....Thanks!

You only need a general admission ticket to get into the car corral. You can buy them online off of the Coronado Speed Festival site for $25. If you buy when you get there, $35. Same cars race on Sat. as Sun.

It's best to send after a corral pass (To receive a free Porsche-Only Corral parking pass for your Porsche, please send a self-addressed and stamped Business size envelope to: Porsche Parking Pass, 3543 Princeton Avenue, San Diego, CA 92117). And as said before buy a general admission ticket on line.

    See you guys there.
