    Their brochures.
Although they used some factory shots done in Germany, all are IMO graphic designed in Japan by using factory input/typo/pics. Some cars seem to be US cars.

If I recall it right, I actually never seen a RHD car in a factory brochure, even it was english and for ROW markets.
Some text inform the client that even LHD cars are pictured, they will get RHD for their market.

Have some fond motoring memories, the best of which entailed an early morning run from the 'burds to Mt. Fuji in a 300SL replete with belly pans, sport cam and Rudge wheels.
You are right about Roppongi, but in the material posted by Karim, I noticed another address. It seems Mitsuwa had two showrooms, at least in the early 70´s. It would have been interesting to know what those building looks like today if they are still there.

If you happened to document the "Turbo fever" in Tokyo in the 70´s, or some 356´s, please share them here :-)

I am very interested in those articles. The third article from the bottom at Schiefer says that these Porsches on the race are identical to the Porsche you drive on the road.

I´m glad you found this thread Takahiro!
Thanks for all your help so far and this reminds me that I have forgotten to ask you about one thing.

On my engine lid I found this sticker covered by paint. It would have been of great interest to know what it says!

Please show us some pictures of your car when you have the chance :-)

I believe this picture from post #4 proves the picture was taken in Japan. The rear seats in the Japanese cars are unique and as far as I know changed to this style after the cars arrived Japan.

I do not know yet if there is a variation between SWB and LWB cars, but hope we will sort out all these details in this thread.

This pic is from a 74 Carrera 2.7, but I have seen the same style in earlier cars. (To me it seems Karims pic is different, interesting!)

No, there are two more, this is one, 1971 I think.
The other one has a black cover, 1972/73 I think.

    Roppongi location

This is a view of the Roppongi location from beneath the train station overpass. It looks very much like it did in the late seventies when I walked past almost every night on the way home from the Tokyo American Club to our place near what in those days was the West German Embassy in Minami-Azabu.

    Thx for pointing out.
The text says 2195ccm so it must be 1970.

As often, they use previous MY year pics (in this instance from Germany - In front of Castle Solitude / Stuttgart) to illustrate cars of a later MY in the brochure.

    Schiefer,
The sticker on your engine lid says this vehicle is has the emission control device and satisfied with the emission amount allowable by the law. Does this make sense ?

    Thank you
    Takahiro
