Not going to find too many of the real deal. Supply vs. demand vs. " LOOK WHAT I'VE GOT " .
1973 911 RSR clone..... to be

Don't you need a real RSR to make it worth the 5K? Putting this on tribute or clone car doesn't make any sense.

Some years ago the 356 Registry had an article titled "The Right Tool For No Job Ever Again", or something like that. It was about the values of 356 tool kits and how they had gotten to ridiculous heights. They figured that per pound it was the most valuable/expensive part on the whole car. So at the time I had a 356 A 4Cam tool kit, proper for an early or late A because I had the extra wrench to make it correct for all years. I sold that for just over 10Gs and had a line up in case the first guy bailed. Today it could be worth who knows how much.

Edit: I see 1850usd for a swb wood wheel on for sale. I used to get those for 35 bucks all day at the Pomona Swap meet BITD.

    I remember Frank Gallogly (fg1227) buying a pair of NOS Recaro Rally/Race seats on eBay --- what? . . . 4-5 years ago . . .

What would someone pay today? . . .

. . . if they could find 'em?

I tend to agree with the supply and demand plus the ever increasing values of Porsches. I think we all remember not too long ago when SWB cars were 10K and under all day long. I bought my 68L 4 years ago just months prior to the climb. At the time I alsoran into a perfect 68 Targa for 13K and passed on it thinking I could find one a little closer to me. Oh well......

...I'd do it in a heartbeat... that makes a clone that much nicer . To each his own
