    Thick and Thin

I bought this particular car for my 18th B/Day. That was 40+ years ago. I bought it on a whim in Fresno, California looking to impress a lady friend. I was making $1.95 per hour working at a gas station. It was a hate/love relationship back then and it still is now to a point. The OEM parts from various vendors over the last 18 months have been a real struggle to deal with on my hopefully last rebuild.

A case in point. I bought a $150 '911' gold script for my rear deck on the '66. It 'flashed off' within 2 weeks. Made in China with 2 microns of gold plate. Not original and not correct, but I paid for correct.

Just be aware and ask hard questions.
I am looking for a Mid '60's Can Am Car as a project for next year.
