    And here's the 901, the car was revealed two days ago for the press. Porsche paid 120.000 euros for the rust bucket (300057) from 1964, but it's worth the money I guess since it's matching numbers and has a lot of original parts. Not the early style heat exchangers and Nadella axles though. Probably a lot of parts around the vin number will be changed.

    1967 911 #307347, bare-bones, some road wear, a little surface rust, and a few dents..., owned 14 years.
    1970 914/6GT, (Sold - ran the last three Rennsports)owned 30 years.

    The barn find seems more of a 68MY
    The 901 will be a challenge to restore, but what a find!

    Interesting how the increased value of these cars also changes our perception of a barn find. My ideal barn find is one where you can wash off the dust and find a pristine car. These are two examples that are rare because someone never got around to sending them to the crusher. As pointed out above "Probably a lot of parts around the vin number will be changed."

    At the factory is where the confusion starts re. MY versus build year ..

    For them this is (a MY68) from 1967

    Well I have a correct knee bar for it so I guess based on what they paid for the 901 it should be worth @5k

    They probably pulled the kneepad to check the VIN. If you look closely you see that they scraped the paint where about the VIN is.
